Spinneys' customers donate 77 LBP million to SOS children's villages on Mother’s day

Spinneys, celebrated Mother’s day by collecting LBP 77,702,481 through a donation campaign for the Lebanese Association of SOS Children’s Villages.

Chief Marketing Officer at Spinneys Group Mr. Ralph El Kahi commented saying: "This campaign is a continuity of our cooperation with SOS, and this campaign reflects Spinney's serious commitment to support local civil society organizations that seek to provide the best opportunities for communities, especially children." He added: "These children are our future, and the least we can do on the occasion of Mother’s day is to show our support to them and their SOS mothers who exert tremendous efforts to raise and educate them, and we are pleased to support SOS to achieve this purpose."

The campaign entitled “a mother for every 1” was launched at all Spinneys stores across the country; started on March 16 and ended on March 29, and allowed customers to donate optional $1 to SOS Children’s Villages at the checkout counter to help children in need. The total donations exceeded 77,000,000 LBP.

It is worth mentioning that Spinney had previously launched a co-branded loyalty card with the Lebanese Association of SOS Children’s Villages within its CSR program, holders of the co-branded card will be donating a percentage of their purchases during the year to help the children, and they can also collect points and redeem them for the offered gifts within Spinneys’ loyalty program's and rewards.
