Named for the Italian word farfalla meaning butterfly, these bow-tie-shaped pasta are the perfect summer pasta for dishes with light vegetable sauces or pasta salads. Their pinched centre helps keep them al dente when cooking.
Details
Garofalo are one of the oldest pasta makers still in existence tracing their origin back to 1789. Although pasta production has changed with the times Garofalo pride themselves on combining tradition and history with the benefits of technology and modernity to create delicious pasta for a wider audience.
Preparation Guidelines
Cooking time 11 minutes. Bring a large pan of water to the boil and add salt if required. Keeping the water at a rolling boil add the amount of pasta needed. Stir with a wooden spoon to prevent the pasta sticking together and to avoid damaging the pasta. Cook for the recommended time, drain and serve.
