Peel and pit the avocados.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the avocados and sour cream. Coarsely mash using a potato masher or fork.
Finely chop the shallot and chilli. Finely grate the garlic. Juice the lime. Finely chop the coriander.
Combine all the ingredients and place in a serving dish. Serve with crisps.
