Sloane's was founded on a mission to improve hot chocolate. Sir Hans Sloane visited Jamaica in 1687. After trying a local drink of cocoa and water, he found that it tasted dramatically better with milk and sugar. He soon popularised "milk drinking chocolate" in the UK which evolved into Sloane's - a brand of posh hot chocolate.
