A quintessentially Palestinian cheese, nabulsi cheese is white brined cheese which is salty in taste. It is produced from sheep's milk or sometimes goat's milk. This semi-hard cheese becomes soft when heated.
Details
Nabulsi cheese can be eaten fresh as salty table cheese, or used as a stuffing for phylo dough, short crust pastry or a simple pita pocket. Fried in oil it makes a great appetizer, sweetened it can be used in different Middle Eastern desserts.
