Yas Island Winterfest

With five days of festive fun planned from 6 – 10 December, Winterfest is an extravaganza full of unforgettable activities, including a snow park, a daily tree lighting ceremony, and a nightly fireworks display. Expect a carnival atmosphere with rides, live entertainment and Christmas sing-alongs, as well as an artisan market for shopping and the chance to decorate your own ornaments in Santa’s Workshop. Your visit wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Spinneys Food Truck, which will be serving mince pies, muffins, Danish pastries, mulled juice, hot beverages and more.

Winter City at Expo

From 15 December to 7 January, Al Wasl Plaza at Expo City transforms into a winter wonderland welcoming families into a Christmas-themed spectacle with Santa’s Grotto, traditional food and drinks, a huge tree perfect for photo opportunities, a carol concert and more to keep the children busy. With a powerful sustainability theme running through the attractions, this is an experience not to be missed and one that is at the top of our festive wish list.

Madinat Jumeirah Festive Market

This staple of Dubai’s festive calendar is back from 15 December to 7 January at Fort Island. With an impressive 36ft-tall Christmas tree, a live band belting out classic tunes, Santa riding on an abra and seasonal food stalls, it really does feel like the most wonderful time of the year with a visit to this magical market, which is open from 3pm to late on Monday to Thursday and 12pm to late on Friday and Saturday.

Winter Garden at Al Habtoor City

From 1 November to 31 January, Habtoor Palace Dubai is transformed into a winter wonderland with plentiful food trucks, live entertainment, traditional décor and activities for the kids to enjoy. It’s AED 25 to enter, which is fully redeemable on refreshments once inside the venue and four-legged friends are welcome to enjoy a visit to the garden, too.

Winter District at Emirates Towers

With a carousel, a doughnut snow slide, horse rides and crafts for the kids, Downtown Dubai’s first-ever Winter District is all set to give families more opportunities to revel in festive joy between 14 December and 4 January. With the Museum of the Future as the backdrop, a huge Christmas tree, snowmen and a giant advent calendar, there’s going to be plenty of opportunities to snap some pictures and create amazing memories.
