Tommy Lise

The relatively young Czech brand extends its dedication from mothers and babies to the planet our kids will grow up in. Much of its gear is derived from bamboo, a fast-growing wood that is a sustainable, biodegradable and incredibly durable substitute for plastics, as used in kids’ dinner sets beautifully painted with wildlife motifs. Gorgeous images of leopards, parrots and mangroves cover the brand’s ultrasoft bamboo/cotton muslin swaddles, too.

Kiddylicious

While toddlers tend not to be overly concerned about the nutritional value of the foods they do and don’t like, Kiddylicious has spent the last 12 years developing healthy snacks that actually taste good, which the brand sees as key to nurturing a “positive attitude toward food”. They make their case to little ones with appealing items like Apple Fruity Bakes, Banana Melts and Raspberry Tiddlers.

Baylis & Harding

After 50 years in the business of making deluxe bathroom products, Baylis & Harding has extended its range to help parents wash their children in the company’s abiding spirit of “sustainable luxury”. The line now includes plant-based, allergen-free items like Strawberry Swirl body wash and Lavender & Vanilla bubble bath, all approved for use on even the most sensitive skin by a consulting paediatrician.

Child’s Farm

Former banker Joanna Jensen moved into toiletries when she noticed a general dearth of naturally-derived products suited to her own kids’ sensitive skin and fine hair. Over a decade later, her company Child’s Farm has become a trusted name by way of unfragranced shampoos, baby washes and ultra-delicate nappy creams. The brand’s hair detangler has spared countless parents and kids a lot of tears and recrimination just before bedtime, too.

Milton

Generations have now been raised on, and protected by, Milton products – the brand’s sterilising fluid was initially used as a disinfectant and burn treatment during World War I. Today it’s a ubiquitous staple of infant-related hygiene, along with other essentials like antibacterial hand gel and baby bottle cleaner.
