Whisk the chilled double cream, sweetened condensed milk (or coconut condensed milk for a vegan option), freshly brewed espresso and cardamom together until the whisk leaves trails of soft peaks in the bowl. Be careful not to over whisk.
Transfer to a container and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
Serve alongside a slice of chocolate cake or sprinkled with chocolate chips.
