Fine grate the garlic.


Combine the white miso (or red miso) with the garlic, soya sauce, 100ml of the oil and vinegar. Add the honey to taste, if desired.


Heat a griddle pan until smoking hot.


Brush the asparagus with the remaining oil and grill for 1-2minutes until charred but still firm.


Remove from the heat, place on a plate and spoon over the dressing.


Serve immediately.
